Why God Created Teachers

When God created teachers,
He gave us special friends
To help us understand
His world
And truly comprehend
The beauty and the wonder
Of everything we see,
And become a better person
With each discovery.

When God created teachers,
He gave us special guides
To show us ways
In which to grow
So we can all decide
How to live and how to do
What's right instead of wrong,
To lead us so that we can lead
And learn how to be strong.

Why God created teachers,
In his wisdom and his grace,
Was to help us learn
To make our world
A better, wiser place.

The purpose of three technologies to use in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning:

Three technologies to be considered for use in the classroom are the multimedia projector, speakers and the computer. Using these three items in conjunction a teacher can create a very powerful interactive teaching tool and therefore it becomes a meaningful learning experience for the students. These types of technology would help the major learning styles for example visual, auditory and kinesthetic.

The three main pieces of technology used in the classrooms today are:

1. Televisions

2. Computers

3. Smartboards

In today's society  televisions and computers are no novelty. These two items can be found in almost every home. Therefore knowing to operate these mediums become easy because you have already pass the trial and error stage at home. For example the buttons on these items are universal so when you see a red button on a remote or on the computer that usually signifies that it is a power source to turn off or in some cases on and off. So in my opinion I would say these have been mastered and are used a great deal in the classrooms. on the other hand the Smartboard and Smartboard technology are relatively new in the classroom and not having one readily avaliable at our homes makes it a little difficult to master. In retrospect the Smartboard is under used mainly because people don't know how to use it properly.

Four design decisions to consider when building a teacher blog

1. Your username is what you use to sign into your blog dashboard and is displayed on posts and comments you write. While you can’t change your username, most blog platforms do allow you to change how your name is displayed.
In most cases it’s better to choose a username that makes it easier for others to relate to you as a real person.

2. Think carefully about your blog URL.Once your blog has an established audience you’re less likely to want to change your blog URL and educators often use the same blog for the next year’s class.Ideally you want to keep your blog URL short, easy to remember and suitable to be reused for several years.

3. Think about the name of your blog.Choose a name that reflects the purpose of your class blog and your students can relate to.

4. Pay special attention to the size of the font remember the audience small writing may be hard to read.
Two educational benefits of using blogware:

  • Using a blog makes learning independent of time and place.

  • Using a blog encourages learners to be active throughout the lesson period.
Two examples of blogware are:

  • The Huffington Post

  • CNN Political Ticker
Benefits of Blogware:

  • Weblogs have the ability to reach a large audience without losing information quality and allowing for different levels of detail.

  • Weblogs are easy to setup and administrate in contrast to other technologies.
